Newcastle United are set to sell Miguel Almiron to Atlanta United, and there could be more outgoings before the January transfer window closes.
While Newcastle are unlikely to sign anyone themselves, there could be some exits from St James’ Park.
Miguel Almiron is set to join Atlanta United, having said goodbye to his Toon teammates ahead of his £10million return to the MLS. Elsewhere, Jamie Miley is going to leave Newcastle United and join Hartlepool United. Both of those deals should be completed very soon.
But there could be more outgoings, as Geordie Boot Boys look at six players who could still leave Newcastle United during the January transfer window.
Lloyd Kelly

Talk of Lloyd Kelly leaving Newcastle United this month came as a shock. Fenerbahce bid for Kelly earlier in the window, while Juventus have since registered their interest.
But Eddie Howe does not want to lose Kelly, which is no surprise. His future will depend on whether a suitable offer is made. It would need to be a cash offer, as that would give Newcastle a PSR boost and allow them to reinvest.
Odysseas Vlachodimos
Newcastle were expected to lose a goalkeeper in January, but it looked like it would be Martin Dubravka. However, Dubravka is now staying at Newcastle, with his move to Al-Shabab seemingly off.
With Dubravka staying put, Odysseas Vlachodimos’ future has come to the fore.
It has been claimed that Vlachodimos is frustrated by his lack of minutes, with the £20million stopper making just one competitive Toon appearance so far. However, it remains to be seen if he will depart, with Vlachodimos rejecting a transfer to Al-Shabab in the wake of the Dubravka deal collapsing.
Matt Targett
Geordie Boot Boys have been told that Newcastle are happy let Matt Targett leave on loan, with the left-back tumbling down the pecking order at St James’ Park.
Leeds have shown an interest in Targett, and he feels like the most likely senior player to depart before the transfer window closes.
Garang Kuol
Having missed out on a move in the summer, Newcastle will let Garang Kuol leave on loan this month. However, he will only leave if the Magpies can find a suitable club where the young Aussie can really develop.
They will not just send Kuol anywhere, having seen his career stall after two failed loan stints away from Tyneside.

Alfie Harrison
Another youngster who Newcastle could loan out is Alfie Harrison. The 19-year-old was in and around the first-team during pre-season, and it was reported that Newcastle could loan Harrison out.
That did not happen, but there is still time this month for the midfielder to embark on his first ever loan spell.
Sean Longstaff
After Miguel Almiron, it has been claimed the Sean Longstaff is the most likely senior player to leave. He would hand the club a serious PSR boost, as he is a homegrown player and any money received would go down as pure profit.
Everton have been linked with Longstaff, who has not started a Premier League game since the 4-2 defeat to Brentford in December. While it has been reported that Longstaff is more likely to leave in the summer, there is still a possibility that he could be sold if a suitable offer arrives.
