Newcastle United are expected to announce a new signing shortly after beating European giants to his signature.
The January transfer window went fairly well for Newcastle United, despite no new signings arriving at St James’ Park.
Newcastle fans praised Paul Mitchell for extracting maximum value out of Miguel Almiron and Lloyd Kelly, who are set to raise over £30m between them.
It should help ease the PSR concerns at Newcastle and set the Magpies up for an exciting summer. Reports suggest Mitchell wants to improve three positions over the summer with Eddie Howe finally set to be handed some new arrivals.
Newcastle have wanted a new right winger for the last 12 months, and it seems Mitchell has moved quickly to sign an extremely exciting young talent.

Newcastle United set to sign Antonio Cordero
Towards the end of January, it was revealed that Newcastle entered pre-contract talks with Antonio Cordero.
The 18-year-old Malaga winger has been making a name for himself in Spain and has attracted interest from several European giants, including Real Madrid and Barcelona.
He has 10 goal involvements in La Liga 2 so far this season, with three goals and four assists coming in his first six league appearances. However, Spanish media were unimpressed by Cordero in his latest Malaga display.
Cordero’s contract at Malaga is set to expire in the summer which explains why he is free to discuss a pre-contract with Newcastle.
According to the Daily Mail, Cordero has now indicated to Newcastle that he wants to join the club with an official announcement now expected.
Antonio Cordero the latest of Newcastle’s young talents
Since Mitchell’s appointment as director of football, there has been a clear strategy shift in recruitment with Newcastle wanting to sign young talent who can bloom into superstars.
With PSR denying Newcastle the chance to go and buy ready-made stars, Mitchell wants Newcastle to sign youth from abroad and Cordero is the latest youngster to join Newcastle’s ranks.
He joins the likes of Kyle Fitzgerald, who joined Newcastle in January as well as Vakhtang Salia, who will join in the summer once he turns 18 years old.

Signings that directly improve the starting lineup will be made in the summer, but in the meantime Newcastle are taking every opportunity to set up a bright future.
Securing the signature of Cordero is a statement signing from Newcastle, with the young winger preferring a move to Tyneside over the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona.
