Lewis Hall is hitting top form for Newcastle United just in time for an important announcement.
Newcastle United’s patient approach with Lewis Hall is having a huge pay-off with the 20-year-old quickly becoming a star under Eddie Howe.
Hall arrived from Chelsea in 2023 on an initial loan deal that turned into a permanent move for £28m this summer.
The young English full-back had to wait until the latter stages of last season before being handed a run in the first team.
Hall struggled to settle at Newcastle and looked miles away from being a starter, but Hall has surprised Newcastle staff in training with the youngster putting in extra hours to improve.
Now 10 games into the season, Hall is one of the first names on Howe’s team sheet.

Eddie Howe is thriving at Newcastle this season
Hall has made the left-back position his own this season and at just 20 years old it could be his for the next decade.
Hall wowed Martin Keown with against Arsenal last weekend, with the young Newcastle defender keeping Arsenal star Bukayo Saka quiet.
Howe was full of praise for Hall, who looks like he has put his tough start on Tyneside behind him and settled down.
Hall earned the Player of the Match award for his performance against Arsenal, with the club announcement hailing him as “sensational”.

Lewis Hall now on brink of first England call-up
Thomas Tuchel has replaced Gareth Southgate as the Three Lions manager but will not be in charge for November, with Lee Carsley set to select the squad this month.
A handful of Newcastle stars will have their phones close by as they wait for a call-up. Anthony Gordon was superb during recent international breaks and will hope for a spot in the squad, as will Nick Pope after making his return under Carsley.
Tino Livramento got a late England call-up in October and will have his fingers crossed that he can return under Tuchel.
And Livramento may be joined by fellow Newcastle full-back Hall, who has forced his way into the frame for his first-ever England call up.
Joe Cole believes Hall should be called up for England after his excellently timed form at St James’ Park.
Lewis Hall could be reunited with Thomas Tuchel
Hall is already familiar with Tuchel after working with him at Chelsea, so he will hope for a reunion with the German coach when he takes charges of England.
Tuchel gave Hall his senior debut in 2022 when he started for Chelsea aged just 17 in the FA Cup.
Tuchel is clearly a fan of the young full-back and was quick to praise Hall after his debut
In an interview with the Evening Standard, Tuchel said: “It was his performance in general and his attitude in training.
“The quality he showed was very calm and very good in our possession games and the little games he trained in.”
