Newcastle look bound for Premier League survival and that means that they can look ahead to the summer transfer window.
Jonathan David has been linked with a move to St James’ Park since the takeover, having enjoyed an impressive spell at Lille.
And journalist Fabrizio Romano has offered an update on the forward’s future, claiming that he will be on the move this summer.

He has 17 goals in all competitions this season which have come in 37 appearances, according to the numbers from Transfermarkt.
David recently played in England against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge and will be looking to take down the same opponents in the return leg tonight.
But Romano also said that Newcastle are far from the only interested party in David, meaning that it could be a real battle come the summer.
It was reported in December that Lille want £47 million for the hitman but no offer meeting their valuation came through in January.
His agent has also said he is going to leave and said that his client is open to a move to the Premier League, with Arsenal also interested.
Callum Wilson’s injury did not convince Newcastle to get that deal over the line in the winter but there is still a feeling Newcastle could use another frontman. Could David be the man?
