Newcastle United are being linked with a transfer for Jonathan David.
Le10 Sport claim the Magpies are looking at the Lille star as a possible incoming in the next transfer window.

Supposedly the club have made their intentions known, but the report does state the chances of a move are low.
Canada international David has been with Lille since the summer of 2020, when he transferred from Gent.
He showed fantastic form for the Belgian outfit, scoring 37 goals in 83 games.
That earned him a £25 million transfer (GFFN) to Lille, where so far he has bagged 22 goals in 66.

David had Premier League interest before making his move to Ligue 1, and it’s likely that will come again.
Le10 Sport say there is interest from Paris Saint-Germain, and also Serie A giants Inter Milan.
Newcastle are in need of a new forward, with Callum Wilson currently carrying a lot of the goalscoring burden.
David, 21, can operate up top or as a second striker. So far this term, he’s played both roles, and scored nine goals in total.
A recent feature from the official Ligue 1 website described David as ‘powerfully-built’ and having particularly strong link-up play.
He was tried in multiple positions in his first year with the club, but has played alongside Burak Yilmaz this term.
There is, therefore, potential for him to flourish in a partnership with Callum Wilson at St. James’ Park.
Jonathan David would be an exciting transfer by Newcastle
David was raising eyebrows while playing for Gent.
He continues to do that at Lille and one wonders how long the 2020/21 Ligue 1 champions will be able to hold onto him.

He is destined for a very exciting career.
There would be a risk given his age and lack of experience.
But David has pace, power, versatility and technical quality which could make him a hit in the Premier League.
