Newcastle United are set to remain busy in the transfer market after confirming the signing of Anthony Elanga from Nottingham Forest.
Friday evening was a delight, with official confirmation that Anthony Elanga has signed a long-term deal.
Geordie Boot Boys understands Elanga signed a five-year deal with Newcastle United, keeping him at the club until 2030 after his £55million transfer.
Newcastle are not stopping at the right-winger, however, and are looking to improve multiple positions in the starting XI ahead of a busy 2025/26 campaign, which includes a return to the Champions League.
Eddie Howe’s side will be playing at least eight more games this season, meaning a good cup run could take their total number of fixtures up to 60.
With Elanga signed and ready for pre-season, here are the latest transfer news and rumours regarding Newcastle.

Newcastle United linked with Axel Disasi
Newcastle are looking to sign a centre-back, and have made Atalanta’s Giorgio Scalvini their top target in the position. However, reports suggest Scalvini could cost over £50m this summer.
The Magpies can afford it, but will have cheaper options in mind. According to L’Equipe, Newcastle are interested in signing Chelsea’s Axel Disasi.
The 27-year-old spent the last few months of the season on loan at Aston Villa, but they opted against making his move permanent. Disasi is deemed surplus to requirements by Enzo Maresca and will be available for just £26m.
Disasi wants to stay in the Premier League, so Newcastle hold the upper hand over other clubs in Europe.

Hugo Ekitike’s agent hears from Newcastle United over £86m move
Newcastle have been long-term admirers of Eintracht Frankfurt striker Hugo Ekitike and nearly signed him in 2022.
The Frenchman has been brilliant in the Bundesliga, scoring 15 goals to help Frankfurt up to third in the table – a Champions League place.
A report from the Telegraph stated Newcastle are ready to move for Ekitike, and that Howe’s recruitment team has contacted his agent with their intent of making him a Newcastle player.
On social media, fans said they would rather bring Yoane Wissa to Newcastle than Ekitike, and it could be more likely with the 23-year-old holding a £86m release clause.
Newcastle United learn eye-watering Jack Rudoni price tag
Sean Longstaff’s future at Newcastle is in doubt. Leeds United have placed three bids for the 27-year-old, but the Magpies are holding off for a bigger fee before letting him go.
Once he leaves, a replacement will be signed. Newcastle have identified Coventry City’s Jack Rudoni as his alternative. However, the Chronicle is stating Rudoni could cost as much as £30m this summer.
The valuation comes following the sale of Jobe Bellingham from Sunderland to Borussia Dortmund. That fee now appears to be a benchmark for a promising young midfielder. It is unknown whether Newcastle will be willing to pay a fee of that magnitude for a Championship player, but he is still in Howe’s thinking if Longstaff goes.
Geordie Boot Boys understands Newcastle want £15m for Longstaff, who may need to leave to help their UEFA PSR stance.
