Newcastle United fans may be getting worried after a Premier League club announcement which could have a knock-on effect on Tino Livramento.
After a sensational season, it is fair to say that Tino Livramento has cemented his place in Eddie Howe’s starting XI for several seasons. The 22-year-old was brilliant as a right-back for the majority of the season, and did a brilliant job at left-back when Lewis Hall suffered a season-ending ankle injury.
Hall is back on the grass and should be ready for the start of the 2025/26 campaign, meaning Livramento can return to his natural position.
Winning the Carabao Cup and qualifying for the Champions League was clearly not enough for the right-back. Livramento helped England win the Under-21 European Championships in Slovakia and received lots of praise from football fans throughout the country.
While the youngster is expected to be in Newcastle for pre-season training, reports have stated that Manchester City are interested in Livramento after his fantastic form throughout the year.
Newcastle United are not willing to sell Livramento, but a club announcement could see Man City ramp up their interest in him.

Man City sell Kyle Walker to Burnley amid Tino Livramento interest
During his Under-21 Euros campaign, Man City fans begged Pep Guardiola to sign Livramento, saying how much he would improve the team for the future.
Livramento revealed he was being constantly contacted by Howe during the tournament, telling him how well he was doing and encouraging him to keep the good performances up.
Those gestures can only improve the morale of Livramento, but it may not stop Man City who are now more eager to sign a right-back after it was announced that Burnley have signed Kyle Walker on a two-year deal.
The defender spent the second half of the season on loan at AC Milan, and was not included in Man City’s Club World Cup squad despite Pep Guardiola having the opportunity to do so.
Walker leaving Man City for Burnley leaves them a man light at right-back. With Guardiola still looking to sign someone in that position, it could mean that he gets his recruitment team to make a fresh approach for Livramento.

Newcastle United have to do everything in their power to keep Tino Livramento
It is very rare that a player like Livramento comes along, a fearless full-back with pace and exceptional dribbling ability.
The 22-year-old looks like he is enjoying his time at Newcastle, but there will always be concerns about whether his head could turn when other clubs register an interest.
Newcastle know what they have to do to keep Livramento and keep him away from Man City. The defender has a contract with Newcastle for the next three years; there is no desperation to give him a new one, but it would certainly help keep other clubs away from him.
Additionally, Howe needs to keep getting the best out of him. It is clear how much Livramento appreciates Howe and looks up to him as a manager – he will surely be willing to do anything for him next season.
Newcastle do not want to sell Livramento, but they need to make it fully aware to any interested parties that he will not be going this summer or any time soon.
