Newcastle United assistant manager Jason Tindall is not a stranger to the spotlight.
Indeed, Eddie Howe’s right-hand man became something of a social media sensation a few seasons ago now, with Tindall’s propensity to be shown on camera becoming something of a joke amongst rival supporters.
Affectionately known as ‘Mad Dog’ at Newcastle, he’s clashed with rival coaches on the touchline before, as well as some players.
Last season’s rule change denied Tindall the chance to join Howe in the technical area but that has not stopped him at times.
After all, Tindall was booked for trying to hasten the play at Wolves earlier this season by throwing the ball to Joe Willock, who was heading over to the touchline to take a throw in.
Seemingly never shy of getting mixed up in the action, another rule change could in fact see Tindall involved on television more.
What could happen with Jason Tindall at Newcastle next season
According to The Standard, the Premier League is considering mid-game interviews as major changes to TV coverage are considered.

The Chronicle then suggest assistant managers could be asked to do quick interviews during half-time at games before the respective teams head into the dressing room.
Eddie Howe and Jason Tindall’s relationship at Newcastle
Despite having worked together for the vast majority of their coaching careers, The Daily Telegraph suggested the two aren’t particularly close outside of a professional capacity.
It was claimed the pair do not tend to socialise outside of the work place and are known to bicker and argue on the training ground.
Clearly, it’s a dynamic that works for them, even if we don’t really know the ins and outs of the friendship.
A valued figure at Newcastle, it’ll be fascinating to see what Tindall may have to say next season…
