Thomas Frank was not a happy man on Saturday.
After pointing out exactly how much Alexander Isak cost Newcastle United following his winning goal in west London, the Brentford boss continued his rant against the Magpies.
While Frank’s side could easily have been further ahead than the one-goal margin they eventually were at half-time, they were lucky Callum Wilson’s goal was ruled out towards the end of the game to keep the scoreline at 2-1 during the dying embers.

After the game, however, the Dane was eager to point out what he thought of Newcastle’s behaviour.
Thomas Frank namechecks Jadon Tindall
Speaking to reporters after his side’s defeat, Frank said (via The Athletic): “We were on purpose a little bit more active towards the fourth official today.
“Again I’m talking about consistency. I try to be calm. I don’t think it does me any good to interact with him.
“But we know Newcastle have the strategy of Jason Tindall always speaking in the fourth officials’ ear so we just have to be aware of that.”
Newcastle tend to rile their opposition
This is nothing new for Newcastle

All season, they have riled their opposition, with Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag even going as far as to brand Howe’s team as “annoying”.
There is nothing wrong with indulging in the dark arts, as long as it does not go above the line. Newcastle are not easy to beat and that energy comes from the sidelines too, which is part of the reason they have only lost three Premier League games all season.
From a fan perspective, it is something to embrace.
