A worrying update has just emerged concerning the future of Bruno Guimaraes at Newcastle United.
The 26-year-old is Newcastle United’s most important player, and someone who is invaluable to Eddie Howe.
However, there is a lot of noise surrounding his future at the moment, given concerns that the Magpies need to sell before they buy.
Reports in Spain have suggested that Bruno wants to leave St James’ Park, and the opportunity is there for him to do that given his release clause. If a club swoops in and activates the £100million+ clause in his contract then Newcastle United will be powerless.
The Telegraph’s Luke Edwards stated on Monday that he thinks Bruno could be the big name that Newcastle United are forced to sell at the end of the season, and now the journalist has provided a worrying update on how the Brazilian feels about his future.

Fear Bruno Guimaraes could leave Newcastle in 2024
According to the Telegraph, Bruno Guimaraes is interested leaving Newcastle this summer for a new challenge, much to the concern of the club. They add that Paris Saint-Germain remain very interested, while a move to Spain would appeal to the midfielder.
This is massively worrying news, at a time when some of the Magpies’ most important players are being talked up for Toon exits. There is concern over Joelinton’s future given his contract situation, while Kieran Trippier continues to be targeted by Bayern Munich.
There is a real fear that Eddie Howe’s team could look very different in a few months, and it will be almost unrecognisable if Bruno is to leave.
He is the man who makes us tick in the middle of the park. He has been simply outstanding this season, and has been Newcastle United’s best player from my point of view. The midfielder has been stunningly consistent, which will make it incredibly hard to replace him.
A £100million exit would represent a huge profit for Newcastle, who bought Bruno for around £40million from Lyon in 2022. But he is worth more than that to the Magpies. He is our talisman and a ‘real leader‘ in black and white, and it is massively concerning that he is potentially looking towards a fresh challenge away from Tyneside.
