Newcastle United are now at risk of losing one of their star players imminently if their form doesn’t start to pick up.
Newcastle were knocked out of the Champions League at the earliest stage and their form in the Premier League doesn’t suggest that they’ll have a shot at the competition next season.
A new report from SPORT now claims that key figure Bruno Guimaraes is looking to leave Newcastle as soon as possible after growing frustrated at the lack of competitiveness this season.
Newcastle could soon lose Bruno to PSG
Unless there is a dramatic change in Newcastle’s fortunes this season, the Brazilian could be on his way out in the summer if not in this January window.
While Barcelona are known to be interested, it appears that Bruno is not willing to wait for the Spanish giants to find the money to secure the signing and instead would prefer to go to PSG as soon as possible.
PSG have identified the 26-year-old as one of their key targets who can give them a big boost in trying to finally secure the Champions League, the only trophy that has escaped their grasp since being taken over in 2011.
Newcastle obviously don’t want to lose a player who has been so integral for them since signing in 2022, but with the club needing to raise funds for new signings this may be an option they could explore.

Bruno is invaluable to Newcastle
Externally there looks to be no suggestion that the midfielder desperately wants out of the team who gave him the chance to showcase his talents on a world stage.
Bruno has earned cult hero status on Tyneside for his passionate displays in a black and white shirt and the supporters would be absolutely devastate to see him leave the club.
You don’t get very many players these days who have something special about them, something that endears them to a fanbase almost instantly despite having no connection to the club prior to the move.
While Newcastle could spend the money from his £100m release clause very wisely, it’d be almost impossible to replace Bruno’s character and the influence that he has on both the dressing room and St James’ Park crowd.
