The transfer window has finally closed, but all of Newcastle United’s deals are yet to be finalised.

After three long and thrilling months, the transfer window closed in England, and Newcastle United have undoubtedly been one of the busiest sides.

The Magpies have confirmed five senior signings so far, but are hopeful that a sixth will be confirmed in due course despite the window’s closure. Alexander Isak has left Newcastle for Liverpool after pushing hard for the move away, but a replacement has been found in Yoane Wissa.

Newcastle came to an agreement with Brentford for Wissa, with a fee upwards of £55m set to be confirmed. The 28-year-old completed his medical earlier on Monday and has since been taking media duties with his new club.

In the meantime, William Osula has been nervously waiting to learn what is going to happen with his future at Newcastle. With the window closed, a conclusion has been reached.

William Osula to stay at Newcastle United after Eintracht Frankfurt move collapses

Osula made his first Premier League start for Newcastle against Leeds United on Saturday, but he was now facing a permanent exit from the Magpies on deadline day.

It was reported that Eintracht Frankfurt made a £30m bid for Osula on Monday afternoon, a deal which would represent substantial profit for Newcastle.

Upon hearing the news, Newcastle fans believed a new player was coming with Osula leaving. There had been murmurs of a midfielder joining before the transfer window closed, following an enquiry for Inter Milan’s Davide Frattesi.

However, it has since been confirmed that the move has collapsed, and Osula will remain at Newcastle until January at least.

It has been reported that Osula will be used as cover for Newcastle, so he will likely be the third choice striker to Nick Woltemade and Wissa.

Osula will temporarily move up the pecking order when Wissa takes time away to play at AFCON during the winter months.

Newcastle United submit deal sheet for Yoane Wissa

Everything looks good with Wissa, but there are still some minor details which need to be ironed out before the deal can be made official.

Fans have been on the edge of their seat throughout the day, waiting for Wissa to be confirmed as a Newcastle player. They must wait a little bit longer before celebrating their sixth senior signing of the summer transfer window.

It has been confirmed that a deal sheet has been submitted by Newcastle, which allows them extra time to get the move for Wissa ironed out and confirmed.

Newcastle have until 1am on Tuesday morning to get all the details of the deal finalised.

Fans could now be in for a late night if the deal goes right down the wire, as there is still no sign on the move being made official just yet.
