Newcastle United, as ever, are being linked with all manner of players this summer.

That of course, is nothing new for Newcastle supporters to deal with.

While the start to this summer has been relatively slow for Eddie Howe after the club had to make some difficult and PSR-imposed decisions, Newcastle continue to be touted as a landing spot for a number of big-name players across European football and beyond.

Howe, after all, is reportedly keen on strengthening his squad with the signings of both a right-winger and a central defender, even though Lloyd Kelly has already come in to bolster his options at the back.

When pressed further, Gnabry coyly added: “I want to stay healthy and attack again. I believe in myself and know what I can give the team.

“I can only speak for myself: I want to get back in shape and perform the way people are used to from me. I still have two years left on my contract, there is no pressure.”

Bayern Munich could sell Newcastle target Serge Gnabry

Bayern signed Newcastle target Michael Olise earlier this summer to strengthen their already stacked front line.

As a result, there have been suggestions that the Bundesliga titans would be willing to sell Gnabry this summer, albeit he does not look like the ideal kind of Newcastle target.

Indeed, most of the outfield signings in the PIF era have been on the younger side, players with most of their careers ahead of them, not behind…
