Newcastle United’s most important player could be the subject of interest from Manchester City this summer.
Bruno Guimaraes is the man who makes Newcastle United tick, and Eddie Howe’s team really struggle to function without him.
That is why the thought of him leaving this summer is massively concerning, despite the 26-year-old recently shutting down speculation regarding a move away from St James’ Park.
But his £100million release clause leaves Newcastle United vulnerable, and a new report from Football Transfers suggests that a Premier League giant could activate it.

Pep Guardiola wants Bruno Guimaraes at Manchester City
According to Football Transfers, Manchester City have a huge amount of interest in signing Bruno Guimaraes from Newcastle, and are considering a move for him this summer.
The report adds that Man City boss Pep Guardiola is a huge fan of the Brazil international, massively valuing how tenacious he is and his versatility.
Those qualities are why he is so key for Newcastle United, and they are qualities that the best team in the world feel as though they could benefit from as well.
It is no secret that Guardiola admires Bruno. It has previously been claimed that he is a big fan, while there were even suggestions that Man City could try to sign the midfielder last summer. Now those rumours are back, albeit tentatively.
Any deal for Bruno would be very expensive given his release clause, but we know that Man City are not short of cash. However, it would be a big surprise to see them equal their transfer record to bring Bruno to the Etihad Stadium.
But he would certainly fit in there, such is his ability. Eddie Howe thinks he is a world class player, and that is why the best clubs in the world like Manchester City have got him on their radar.
