Miguel Alimron is reportedly in talks with MLS outfit Charlotte FC.
Newcastle United’s quest to sign a new winger has been well-documented this summer.
Michael Olise was Eddie Howe’s top target before his Bayern Munich move, meanwhile, Newcastle’s attempts to sign Pedro Neto also failed as the Portuguese star joined Premier League rivals Chelsea.
This has seen the Magpies turn their attention to another Chelsea star, with Newcastle reportedly considering a move for Noni Madueke.
Newcastle’s pursuit of Madueke could now be aided by the potential exit of Miguel Almiron, who now looks set to return to the MLS.
Miguel Almiron in talks with Charlotte FC

Having joined the Magpies back in January 2019 from MLS side Atalanta, Almiron now looks set to return to the United States with Charlotte FC.
That is according to Fabrizio Romano, who stated via X (formerly Twitter) that the Paraguayan is reportedly in talks with the US outfit.
The transfer guru however also stated that the potential transfer is ‘not an easy deal’ with the MLS transfer window set to close in two days.
The winger’s potential Toon exit has been rumored for some time now, ever since it was revealed that Newcastle were willing to listen to offers for Miguel Almiron back in June.
Almiron had been linked with a transfer to Saudi Arabia, it now seems though the Paraguayan may be returning to the States.
Miguel Almiron sale could aid the pursuit of Noni Madueke

Miguel Almiron’s potential Tyneside departure may pave the way for Newcastle to step up their interest in Noni Madueke.
Having joined the Blues in January 2023 for £29m, Madueke’s future at Stamford Bridge now looks uncertain, with Chelsea reportedly willing to listen to offers for the winger – according to The Telegraph.
This has since been followed by news that Newcastle have been tracking Madueke for weeks, as they look to bolster their forward ranks ahead of the Premier League season.
Any move for the 22-year-old was originally expected to be a loan deal but with Almiron’s potential sale now entering the mix, the Magpies may be able to put together enough cash for a permanent move.
