Newcastle United have been linked with all manner of big names this summer
It has so far been a relatively frustrating window for Newcastle, with Lloyd Kelly perhaps the only signing made who will make any meaningful impact in Eddie Howe’s first-team.
Things may be changing, however.
William Osula of Sheffield United is reportedly close to signing for the club, while talks are said to be on with Crystal Palace over a potential move for England international, Marc Guehi.
Indeed, it seems the club aren’t done there.
After the somewhat surprising news of the Osula move broke, it was claimed Howe was still keen to sign a right-winger and a centre-back, the latter of which is presumably Guehi.
Still, it means the pursuit of a right winger is still on and Juventus forward Federico Chiesa, hailed as “devastating” by Paolo Di Canio, has frequently been linked.
Now, Fabrizio Romano has shared the latest.
Fabrizio Romano confirms Juventus want to sell Federico Chiesa amid links with Newcastle
Taking to social media platform X, the noted transfer insider revealed Juve’s stance on the Italian’s future.
Romano reports that Juve boss Thiago Motta left the 26-year-old out of his squad for a pre-season friendly against French side Brest, and that the club want to sell the forward this summer.

Federico Chiesa has not been keen to join Newcastle
Chiesa has been touted as a Newcastle target for what feels like an age now but has so far reportedly been reluctant to join.
The Italy international is thought to have snubbed previous interest from Newcastle and Aston Villa as he did not consider them elite-level clubs.
With Newcastle having failed to qualify for the Champions League since, it seems unlikely his view would radically change.
Chiesa does not appear to have a future with Juventus but Newcastle may not be his next move…
