Eddie Howe is determined to keep his best players at Newcastle United.

The Newcastle United manager has no visions of cashing in on any of his major stars, despite endless rumours surrounding the futures of Alexander Isak and Bruno Guimaraes.

But Newcastle do not plan to sell any of their stars, regardless of whether or not they qualify for the Champions League.

In fact, it has been claimed that Newcastle officials are annoyed by the constant attempts to unsettle their players.

That continued this week, with Manchester City linked with Tino Livramento. Pep Guardiola’s side are in the market for a new right-back, with Tino Livramento named as a player who the Premier League champions admire.

Eddie Howe reacts to Tino Livramento transfer claim

Following reports of Man City being interested in Livramento, Eddie Howe was asked if the 22-year-old is a player who he wants to build his team around rather than sell.

“Yeah, I think it goes without saying,” he said.

“It’s frustrating for us that we’re consistently talking about players rumoured to be leaving.

“We want to go the other way and strengthen the group. We want to make the team stronger for the future rather than lose our best players.”

Newcastle United will not sell Tino Livramento to Manchester City

The constant speculation over players leaving is incredibly frustrating. However, you cannot stop other clubs admiring your players.

It at least suggests that Newcastle are doing something right – they have players who other clubs wish were theirs!

The Magpies are not in a position that they need to sell, while they do not have players who are angling for moves away.

That is the case with Livramento. Geordie Boot Boys have been told that Livramento is happy at Newcastle United and not looking to secure a move away from St James’ Park.

As for Newcastle United, they have no plans to sell Livramento.

Eddie Howe will get his wish, as Newcastle make it clear that Manchester City will not be able to buy their first choice right-back.

The £32million man is staying put, and will be Newcastle United’s resident right-back for a long time.
