Newcastle United signed Sandro Tonali for £55m from AC Milan in 2023, making him their second-most-expensive transfer ever at the time.
Tonali’s first season at St. James’ Park was curtailed when he was banned for 10 months for breaching betting regulations. However, he returned to his best in 2024-25, helping the Magpies win the Carabao Cup.
