Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak is enjoying a fabulous season, breaking all sorts of records.
The Sweden international is seemingly enjoying life on Tyneside, and his performances on the pitch reflect that.
So far this season, Alexander Isak has scored 20 Premier League goals for Newcastle United, bagging five assists in the process.
The 25-year-old was frustrated that he could not add to his tally in Newcastle’s win against Manchester United on Sunday, but he still worked his magic to provide a wonderful assist for Sandro Tonali to open the scoring.
Ian Wright was full of praise for Isak, admitting he caused ‘terror’ for Arsenal defenders in the Carabao Cup and the Premier League game at St James’ Park.
Isak continues to find new ways to impress this season. Now, the Swede has done something that even wowed football legend Thierry Henry.

Thierry Henry left stunned at magic Alexander Isak moment
Isak can stay at Newcastle next season if the Magpies make the Champions League. The feeling is that the striker will be happy to sign a new deal with the club once Newcastle are confirmed to be playing in Europe’s top competition next year.
In the meantime, Isak is showing interested parties what they are missing out on as he continues to wreak havoc on the Premier League.
His moment of magic in the win against Man United had clearly stuck with Henry, as he analysed the play on Sky Sports Monday Night Football.
“What I like about Isak is that you will see more often than not if a player controls a ball like that, usually, he panics. He’s in total control, even in the mistake of what’s happening around him.
“He knows that Lindelof is not close, he can see the run, he keeps his composure and then Tonali gives us a great finish.
“Even if you miscontrol the ball, don’t panic. Stay calm and see what’s happening. Alexander Isak has that in abundance.”

Alexander Isak likened to Thierry Henry
Henry is undoubtedly one of the best players the Premier League has ever seen. The Frenchman came to England and dominated with Arsenal. Henry was part of the famous ‘incivibles’ side that went an entire season unbeaten, winning the league by some margin.
Isak has the ability to replicate what Henry did for Newcastle. Hopefully, that could mean more silverware in the future.
In 2024, former Arsenal player Theo Walcott likened Isak to Henry, but said he had ‘extra attributes in the air’. Walcott also compared Newcastle’s star striker to the likes of Didier Drogba and Michael Owen.
Isak is a history maker with Newcastle. He did something not even Alan Shearer could do by becoming the first player to score 20 league goals in consecutive seasons for the club.
With six games to go, Isak can still add more goals to his tally for the season.
