Newcastle United continued their impressive run of form by beating Leicester City 3-0 at the King Power Stadium.

While those tight 2-1 and 1-0 wins may look ugly on paper, it shows the work that goes in behind the scenes for Newcastle to grind out results.

Newcastle have also won 18 points from losing positions this season, a tally which can only be bettered by Liverpool.

When do Newcastle United next play in the Premier League?

The race for Champions League football is heating up, there are still many teams who can finish in the top five.

After Monday’s win at the King Power Stadium, Newcastle face a tough challenge against their historical rival, Manchester United at St James’ Park on Sunday, 13th April. Kick-off time is at 16:30pm.

Newcastle have not lost at their home ground in the Premier League since the beginning of February, so the cathedral on the hill has become more of a fortress recently.

The Magpies can take solace in knowing they won the reverse fixture against the Red Devils at Old Trafford last December. Man United have struggled in the Premier League this season but results have picked up lately.
