Newcastle United target Jorgen Strand Larsen left nothing unsaid following Wolves’ defeat to Leeds United on Saturday.
The summer transfer window is over, but fans still like to keep an eye on the players they missed out on.
Newcastle United failed in their efforts to sign several players during the summer transfer window, with the likes of Hugo Ekitike, Joao Pedro and Benjamin Sesko moving to other Premier League clubs despite serious interest from the Magpies.
Elsewhere, Jorgen Strand Larsen stayed at Wolves after the summer window, despite two bids being placed by Newcastle in the last days of the window. Newcastle offered as much as £55m for Strand Larsen, which was still not enough for Wolves.
It has been a very tough start to the season for Wolves, with Vitor Pereira’s side losing all five of their opening games in the League. It appears that their latest defeat to Leeds United on Saturday was the straw that broke the camel’s back for Strand Larsen, who went on a scathing rant post-match.

Jorgen Strand Larsen calls out Wolves teammates for conceding ‘easy’ goals
Strand Larsen was very keen on joining Newcastle before deadline day, but the Wolves hierarchy told him that a deal would not be done so close to the window closing.
The feeling is that Newcastle will not try and sign Strand Larsen again, but the prospect of his departure took a hit anyway after it was confirmed that he had agreed a new five-year deal at Molineux.
Things were looking good for Wolves on Saturday when they opened the scoring just eight minutes into the game. However, three goals in 14 minutes for Leeds ensured that it would be a fifth straight defeat for them.
Post-match, Strand Larsen could not contain his disappointment and let his teammates know how he felt about the performance.
“We are in a really tough spot right now,” he told the Daily Mail.
“We were 1-0 up and we cannot give the goals away we did today. The goals we conceded were easy crosses and we had give-away passes.
“It kills us, and it kills the people who want to come into the game, too. It’s about the mentality of the players and we need to do better. We need to change our mentality. It’s going to be a long season.
‘I think the goal we scored shows the quality we have but then again we cannot only be good on the ball. Sometimes we need to win 1-0 at home, or 2-0, or not concede. That’s about all of us.”

Jorgen Strand Larsen misses out on a special move to Newcastle United
In the final days of the summer transfer window, Newcastle were desperately trying to sign a striker while Alexander Isak remained on strike. The 25-year-old was refusing to play for the club, so it was clear that a replacement needed to be signed.
With just a few days left in the window, Newcastle completed the record signing of Nick Woltemade, where he scored on his debut against Wolves of all teams. Meanwhile, Yoane Wissa joined on deadline day from Brentford.
Newcastle are not in any immediate need to sign a new striker, especially given the fact that they also have William Osula as a third-choice option at striker, while the likes of Anthony Gordon can also play in the position.
While he has signed a new deal with Wolves, Strand Larsen will no doubt be kicking himself that the Newcastle move failed to go through. He could have been playing Champions League football this season, but instead, he is set to be in a relegation scrap in the Midlands.
Perhaps he will get a big move later down the line, but for now, he must do whatever it takes to help Wolves stay in the top flight.
