Newcastle United are gearing up for their return to Premier League action and fans across the world will be carefully selecting their FPL squads ahead of the opening weekend.
Eddie Howe’s side finished fifth last season and had some of the best-performing players in Fantasy, including the likes of Alexander Isak, Fabian Schar and Jacob Murphy.
But with Newcastle’s struggles in the transfer window, will players still trust Toon stars to deliver the points?
If so, then there’s plenty of value to be had.

Which Newcastle United players should I have in my FPL team?
Newcastle may have had a terrible summer but they remain among the best teams in the Premier League and will likely win more than they lose, which means you should consider their players for your FPL Team.
However, some are absolute no-gos, the biggest of which is Isak at present.
Despite his haul of 211 points last season and relatively affordable price of £10.5m, Isak is refusing to play for Newcastle as he attempts to force through a move to Liverpool.
He won’t be playing against Aston Villa or any upcoming matches as things stand, so it would be wasted millions.
Elsewhere, the injured Joe Willock, the out on loan Antonio Cordero and players like Emil Krafth, Jamaal Lascelles, Matt Targett, Mark Gillespie and Sean Neave are all unlikely to play much, if at all.
Nick Pope could be a solid pick for your goalkeeper at £5m as he is likely to remain first choice in front of Aaron Ramsdale.
Typically, Lewis Hall would be a sure pick but he is still feeling his way back from injury and is unlikely to start against Villa.
Set-piece specialist Kieran Trippier could be the smart defensive option at £5m, or the threatening Schar, who costs £5.5m.
£7.5m for Anthony Gordon might be a bit steep given he will likely be playing as a central striker where he has struggled in the past, but Murphy and Harvey Barnes have been amongst the goals in pre-season and cost just £6.5m each.
Murphy may lose his place to Anthony Elanga, who costs £7m.
