In a world where Alexander Isak wants to leave Newcastle United, Toon fans are crying out for players who have a desire to wear black and white.
It has been reported that Isak does not want to play for Newcastle again, as he continues to tarnish his reputation on Tyneside.
Amid the chaos of the Alexander Isak situation, the Magpies are also looking for reinforcements.
A new midfielder is required, with John McGinn a target. The Aston Villa captain would be a smart addition given his experience.
However, it is McGinn’s Aston Villa teammate who has emerged as a ‘priority target’ at St James’ Park.

How Jacob Ramsey feels about joining Newcastle United from Aston Villa
Geordie Boot Boys understand that Newcastle enquired about Jacob Ramsey recently, as well as showing an interest in McGinn.
It is Ramsey who currently looks the more likely to arrive on Tyneside, with the Athletic’s David Ornstein providing a very interesting update regarding the 24-year-old.
According to Ornstein, Ramsey is interested in a move to Newcastle United this summer.
Ornstein states that the midfielder has plenty of suitors, with West Ham United keen on a deal. However, St James’ Park is Ramsey’s preferred destination because of the Magpies’ project and the presence of Howe.
It is also claimed that Ramsey is now a ‘priority target’ for Newcastle United, as they aim to reach an agreement with Aston Villa.
Newcastle United working on three deals as Jacob Ramsey talks begin
It was recently reported that Newcastle want three more signings this summer, as a minimum. That felt ambitious given how slow the Magpies have been in the transfer market as of late.
However, there could suddenly be optimism that it is possible after all.
Malick Thiaw is set to join Newcastle, with the defender having already undergone his medical on Tyneside. There is also hope that Yoane Wissa will join Newcastle, with that deal depending on Brentford securing a replacement.
Ramsey is now the third deal that Newcastle United are trying to complete, as they aim to bring in a replacement for Sean Longstaff. It would be a brilliant bit of business, and further sign of improvement at St James’ Park.
If Newcastle can get these three transfers completed, all they will have left to do is resolve the Isak situation. However, that is going to be extremely complicated.
Newcastle will only sell Isak if they can get a replacement, but right now it is difficult to see who in world football that Howe could target.
