Newcastle United fans have shared their honest opinions on a leaked image of their away shirt for the 2025/26 Premier League season.

The Premier League fixtures are upon us, but fans have turned their attention to a new leaked image of Newcastle United’s away shirt for next season.

As in the 2024/25 campaign, Adidas had the chance to go rogue with their designs, and they appear to have done exactly that. Newcastle debuted their new home kit against Everton at St James’ Park, the same day they confirmed their return to the Champions League after a year out.

Newcastle fans loved the new home kit, especially after it was shown off in the flesh at St James’ Park. Now, they have seen what appears to be Newcastle’s new away kit after an image was leaked on social media. The image shows a mostly green kit, with white stripes and white piping from the top to the bottom.

The middle of the shirt also has thin dark green lines, like a thinner version of Scottish Premiership side Celtic’s iconic green hoops.

With the new away kit now being seen by fans, many have shared their views on social media. Unfortunately, Newcastle and PIF will be less than pleased with its reception.

Newcastle United fans are disappointed by the leaked away kit image

Fans will be hoping to see new players modelling these kits upon release, but they may have to wait a bit longer for that.

In the meantime, Newcastle fans have reacted to the leaked image on the social media platform X. It is fair to say that they are far from pleased with the end product.

“Not the worst green kit we’ve had but otherwise a pass.” said one fan, while another added: “Horrible, not a fan at all. Like the Home shirt not great from Adidas.”

This fan suggested another colour would work for the Newcastle kit, saying: “Another horrible green number. Blue or yellow have always been the best away kits for NUFC.”

“Probably the worst kit I’ve ever seen us have in 35 years.” said this disappointed Newcastle fan.

Another fan added: “Green should only ever be worn by goalkeepers!!”

Finally, this Newcastle fan said: “Worst we’ve ever had.”

Newcastle United fans are displeased by the prices of new kits

Unfortunately, the away kit is not the only thing that fans are not happy about.

After the home kit was released, Newcastle fans were stunned to learn kit prices had increased from the previous season. The pro version of the kit will now set fans back an eye-watering £120, an increase of £10 from the season before.

In addition to the kit prices, Newcastle fans were unhappy with season ticket costs going up for yet another year.

While it is not a popular decision amongst the fanbase, it has to be done to increase turnover for the club.
