Newcastle United are hoping that Alexander Isak will commit his long-term future to the club.
The 25-year-old has been relentlessly linked with a move away from St James’ Park, with elite clubs eager to call Alexander Isak their own.
However, the tide appears to be turning, with suitors realising that they will not be able to sign the striker from Newcastle United.
Liverpool think their Isak hopes are slim, while Arsenal are looking elsewhere.
Isak has played so well this season that he has made himself unaffordable, while his contract until 2028 strengthens the Magpies’ position.

Newcastle United prepare for talks with Alexander Isak
They want their position to become even stronger, however, as Toon officials prepare to offer the Sweden international a new contract.
Isak will become Newcastle’s best paid player ever if he agrees a new deal, with talks set to take place this summer.
As well as a pay rise, the Magpies believe they have something else that will impress their superstar forward.
According to the i Paper, Newcastle United think that Isak will be happy with what they have planned for the summer transfer window.
Newcastle United’s summer transfer plans
While rivals would love it if Newcastle United had to replace Isak this summer, the club are actually making plans to provide him with more competition.
Newcastle are interested in Liam Delap, and believe that the 22-year-old is capable of playing alongside Isak rather than instead of him.

But while the Magpies are looking to bring in another striker, that is not their top priority this summer.
Instead, Newcastle want to make three key signings. Paul Mitchell will be tasked with bringing in a right-sided centre-back, a right winger and a goalkeeper.
In terms of the centre-back, Newcastle have been told to get Dean Huijsen by former Premier League goalkeeper Ben Foster.
Alternatively, Marc Guehi is a target for Newcastle United.
