Newcastle United take on Nottingham Forest this weekend, with both sides heading into the game with injury concerns.
It looks like both clubs are going to be without their top scorers. Eddie Howe has predicted that Alexander Isak is going to miss Newcastle’s next two games. As for Forest, they are set to be without Chris Wood, who is going to absent for around six weeks.
That means that the 32-year-old will not play against his former club on Saturday evening, after netting a hat-trick in the reverse fixture.
Newcastle are also sweating on the fitness of Anthony Gordon. He injured his ankle at the weekend, and does not appear to have trained with the Magpies this week.
That is massively concerning, and Forest fans will be equally as worried about their most creative player.

Morgan Gibbs-White hurts himself ahead of facing Newcastle
Nuno Espirito Santo’s side beat Bristol City in an FA Cup replay on Wednesday night. The game went all the way to penalties, with Taiwo Awoniyi netting the winner from 12 yards.
However, an injury concern appears to have emerged for Forest during extra time.
Morgan Gibbs-White was seen to be ‘limping horribly’ according to BBC Radio Nottingham commentator Colin Fray, after hurting himself in an off the ball incident.
The 24-year-old was able to play on, although he did not have much choice due to the fact that Forest had used up all of their substitutions. Gibbs-White was able to carry on until the end, and converted his penalty in the shootout.
Now it appears to be a waiting game to see if he is fit for Saturday night’s game. It will be a huge blow for Forest if he is unable to feature, while Gibbs-White could also miss out on the chance to impress Newcastle officials again after being a transfer target for the Magpies during the January transfer window.
