Newcastle United will hope to continue where they left off when they face West Ham on Monday evening.
The Magpies won three on the bounce heading into the November international break and Eddie Howe will hope the two-week pause has not slowed his side’s momentum.
Victories over Arsenal and Nottingham Forest earlier this month have fired Newcastle up to ninth in the Premier League table and victory on Monday will have them on the brink of the top four.

Newcastle will take on West Ham at St James’ Park in their next Premier League clash, and the Hammers will be desperate to recover from a poor start to the season which has put manager Julen Lopetegui under pressure.
Lopetegui praised “complex” Newcastle ahead of the clash and West Ham have made unique training changes to try and prepare for St James’ Park.

Newcastle United record vs West Ham
There are plenty of reasons for Newcastle supporters to be confident about their chances of picking up three points on Monday evening.
The Magpies are on a winning streak, Alexander Isak is hitting top form and there is the advantage of playing at home under the lights of St James’ Park.
On top of that, Newcastle’s record against the Hammers makes for very interesting reading.
In the last 10 meetings against West Ham, Newcastle have won five, drawn four and only lost once.
| Wins | 5 |
| Draws | 4 |
| Defeats | 1 |
| Goals scored | 25 |
| Goals conceded | 18 |
Newcastle also boast a great scoring record against the Londoners having netted 25 goals in those 10 matches.
The only defeat came back in August 2021 when Steve Bruce’s side collapsed in the second half to lose 4-2.
The last meeting at St James’ Park between the two sides was in March 2024 when Harvey Barnes scored twice in the last 10 minutes to complete a remarkable 4-3 comeback.
Alexander Isak will be key for Newcastle vs West Ham
As mentioned before, Alexander Isak has overcome his slow start to the season and is now back to his best.
He scored three goals in three games before the break and Isak was “brilliant” for Sweden while away on international duty.
Newcastle boast an impressive winning record against West Ham and a glance at Isak’s scoring record suggests he has played a big part in that.

Isak scored twice against the Hammers during the 4-3 win in March with both goals coming from the penalty spot.
He also scored twice in the meeting before that which ended in a 2-2 draw at the London Stadium. Back him to add to that scoring record on Monday evening.
