A lot has been made about Alexander Isak’s future at Newcastle United of late.
While Isak is under contract at Newcastle until the summer of 2028, he has been strongly linked with a move away at some point.
Indeed, the striker’s agents have been tipped to look for a new club next summer if Eddie Howe cannot lead his Newcastle side back into the Champions League.
Talks over a new contract are believed to have stalled too, complicating matters further.
Clearly, there’s no pressing need to sell Isak in terms of contract length but, at some point, the club may need to let a big player leave in order to unlock further funds.
Whether that is Isak or not is of course up for debate. One of the best strikers in the Premier League on his day, replacing him would not be an easy task no matter how much money comes in for the Sweden international.

Luckily, it may not be something Newcastle have to consider at all.
The very latest on Alexander Isak’s future at Newcastle United
According to iNews, there is confidence at St James’ Park that Isak is happy and satisfied at the club.
Naturally, the forward is said to want to play Champions League football but sources suggest he’s happy to play a part in a Newcastle project that remains ambitious.
While they relay that contract talks have stalled, neither party are believed to have seen that as a big issue just yet.
Eddie Howe has made a huge prediction about Alexander Isak
Such is his admiration of Isak, Howe made a very big prediction about the striker recently.
Speaking ahead of Monday’s Premier League clash with West Ham, Howe suggested Isak has the kind of quality to realistically target becoming one of the world’s best forwards.
