Newcastle United are reportedly interested in both Marc Guehi and Noni Madueke.
The 2024 summer transfer window has been a dramatic one, to say the least for Newcastle United.
PSR deadlines, England manager links, and a Director of Football reshuffle, Newcastle will be happy to see the back of the transfer window come September 1st.
Amongst all the chaos though, Newcastle have managed to bring in six new additions so far, with the Magpies now looking to add to that tally with a few more signings.
Eddie Howe’s search for a new centre-back has seen Newcastle submit multiple bids for Crystal Palace’s Marc Geuhi, the Eagles however have rebuffed any offers so far.
The Magpies are also seemingly keen on boosting their frontline, seeing their Michael Olise approach fail as the Frenchman opted to join Bayern Munich, meanwhile fellow attacking target Pedro Neto joined Premier League rivals Chelsea.
Neto’s London move however has seemingly opened the door for Eddie Howe’s side to make a move for another Chelsea attacker, with Newcastle reportedly considering a move for Noni Madueke.
So with that being said, Geordie Boot Boys thought it would be worthwhile taking a look at Newcastle’s potential best XI if Geuhi and Madueke are to sign on the dotted line.

New look Newcastle United frontline with Madueke
Having primarily played on the right wing for most of his career, Noni Madueke would likely replace either Jacob Murphy or Miguel Almiron on the right-hand side, with the latter being heavily linked with a move away from St James’ Park.
The Chelsea man could form a formidable front three alongside Alexander Isak and Newcastle Player of the Year Anthony Gordon, with their pace and directness sure to cause a whole host of problems for Premier League defences.
Madueke is also adept at playing anywhere across the frontline which could allow the forwards to interchange, therefore providing Eddie Howe with some much-needed tactical flexibility.

Marc Guehi could lead the Magpies backline
If Marc Geuhi was to join the Toon army he would likely become Newcastle’s most expensive signing ever – which suggests he could have a big impact on Tyneside.
Likely to slot in alongside Fabian Schar or Sven Botman, Guehi would be an instant upgrade on Eddie Howe’s current defensive options whilst also rapidly reducing the average age of the Newcastle first-team squad, aged just 24-years-old.
Despite his young age though, the former Chelsea academy star is vastly experienced at the top level, having made over 180 appearances at senior level, even captaining Crystal Palace on a number of occasions.
As shown in the Euros, the Palace man also has the ability to play in a back-three which could provide the Newcastle coaching staff the opportunity to change system if needs be.
Newcastle United’s potential best XI

As you can see Newcastle’s potential XI is extremely strong in all areas, with Sandro Tonali’s long-awaited return boosting the Toon army’s midfield ranks.
The Magpies also have the ability to switch full-backs with the likes of Dan Burn and Tino Livramento providing great cover for Hall and Trippier.
A fully fit squad would also see Harvey Barnes and Callum Wilson deputise as quality back-ups if any of the front three were to pick up an injury.
Newcastle XI: Pope; Trippier, Schar, Guehi, Hall; Bruno, Tonali, Joelinton; Madueke, Isak, Gordon.
