Casemiro has played alongside some elite players, but right now he loves sharing the stage with Newcastle United’s talisman.
The Manchester United midfielder is currently away on international duty, with Brazil set to face Venezuela and Uruguay in two World Cup qualifiers.
Casemiro is set to start the first game against Venezuela, where he will feature alongside none other than Bruno Guimaraes.
The Geordie hero is due to start for Brazil, and has received a lot of praise from Casemiro in the buildup to the game.
Casemiro loves playing alongside Bruno Guimaraes
Ahead of Brazil’s clash with Venezuela, Casemiro spoke to the media. He reflected on previous midfield partners, before shifting the focus towards his current teammate Bruno.

“Recently, Bruno is a player who has been doing an exceptional job at Newcastle,” he said, as reported by OGOL.
“With every workout and every game I’m more comfortable with him. He is a great player, who has been demonstrating this in the most difficult competition in the world.
“It’s not up to me to determine who I’m going to play with. But of course, when you play longer with a player, you have a greater adaptation.”
He has been incredible for Newcastle over the past month
The Manchester United man is full of praise for Bruno. He is very complimentary towards Newcastle’s number 39, and it means a lot coming from a player of his calibre.
Casemiro has played alongside the best and won the lot. During his time at Real Madrid, he operated in midfield alongside Luka Modric and Toni Kroos, winning five Champions League titles.
That is something Bruno has never done, but he excelled in the competition last week. The 25-year-old was Newcastle’s best player during the 4-1 win over Paris Saint-Germain.

He is enjoying a rich vein of form, looking back to his absolute best after an underwhelming start to the season. Bruno is back playing with a smile on his face, dominating midfield and dazzling the Toon Army.
It has coincided with Bruno signing a new contract with Newcastle United. He has extended his stay until 2028, becoming one of the Premier League’s best paid players in the process.
Having Bruno commit his future to the Toon is fantastic news, as he is a joy to watch. It turns out he is also a joy to play alongside according to Brazil teammate and Manchester United star Casemiro.
