Newcastle United officially announced today that Bruno Guimaraes has signed a new five-year contract at the club.
On the two year anniversary of the PIF-backed takeover, Newcastle fans once again have something to celebrate as the Brazilian maestro Bruno Guimaraes has committed his future to Newcastle United by signing up for another five years at the club.
The deal had been in the offing for a while but now that it’s all signed, sealed and delivered fans can relax and get ready for another five years of Bruno Guimaraes.
Bruno and his dad talked about their love of Newcastle
Eschewing the traditional sit down on a folding chair inside the dome at the Newcastle training ground for an interview, the club instead shot a chat between Bruno and his now equally-famous and equally-loved dad, Dick in a Newcastle pub.
During the chat the pair expressed their love for the city and the fans, mentioning how much they’re loving life in Newcastle.

Bruno looks to the future talking about his son Matteo and unborn son Pietro going to school in Newcastle and potentially following in their father’s footsteps and playing for Newcastle United.
Bruno clearly has no regrets about moving to the North East
The pair talk about the new deal with Bruno saying: “Every game, home or away, I fall more in love with the fans, the team, the history, with the whole city.

“The fans gave me a great welcome. I’m happy to be signing for another five years. It’s a wonderful moment in my life.”
The interview closes out with a hug between the two and them saying: “We’re in this together”. Is someone chopping onions in here?
