Newcastle United’s star-studded attack contains two of the fastest players in the Premier League.
Anthony Gordon and Alexander Isak have been in incredible form for Newcastle United in recent weeks, helping the Magpies to win 10 of their last 11 matches.
Isak has been hailed as “world-class” by Alan Shearer with the Swedish star scoring 17 goals in the Premier League this season. It puts him two behind Mohamed Salah in the race for the Golden Boot.
Gordon sits in second place to Isak in Newcastle’s scoring charts with six Premier League goals to his name this season.
Despite their telepathic understanding, Newcastle have a better partnership in the Premier League this season when it comes to assisting each other.
But what is not up for debate is that Gordon and Isak are two of Newcastle’s quickest players in the squad. Club captain Bruno Guimaraes has settled the debate on who is faster.

Bruno Guimaraes names Newcastle United’s fastest player
Eddie Howe has implemented an attacking style of play at Newcastle with the Magpies boss encouraging his players to burst forward into space. With Gordon and Isak in the front line, Newcastle have become deadly on the counter-attack.
But Guimaraes believes there is one player who stands out as the fastest in Newcastle’s squad.
Speaking on the Fubo YouTube channel, Guimaraes said: “This is a good question, it’s between Isak and Gordon, but I think Gordon is at the top of the list.”
In the very next question though, Guimaraes was quick to name Isak as Newcastle’s most skillful player in the squad.
Stats disagree with Bruno Guimaraes
While Guimaraes believes Gordon is the fastest player in Newcastle’s squad – and many fans will likely agree – stats suggest that honour actually goes to Harvey Barnes.
Barnes has been Newcastle’s fastest player this season, clocking a top speed of 34.7km per hour.
The 27-year-old has had to accept a rotational role this season, but he often arrives off the bench to inject energy and pace into Newcastle’s attack.

Newcastle may soon add even more pace to their attacking department with the club on the lookout for a new right winger.
Anthony Elanga remains on Newcastle’s radar, and he clocked Nottingham Forest’s top speed this season at 35.9km per hour.
