Newcastle United are not planning for a future without Alexander Isak, or any of their top stars for that matter.
Eddie Howe is lucky to have some incredible players in his Newcastle United squad. He is able to call upon elite attackers like Alexander Isak and Anthony Gordon, while they are backed up by top level midfielders in Sandro Tonali and Bruno Guimaraes.
They are the type of players that deserve to be playing in the Champions League, and the hope is that they can get back there with Newcastle United.
If Newcastle do miss out this season, there will be fears that the likes of Isak will seek a move away. But even if they do, they might not be allowed to leave.
It has been reported that Newcastle will not sell their stars if they miss out on the Champions League, as PIF reaffirm their ambition to progress as a club beyond this summer.

Arsenal fans refuse to believe Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak stance
That will be music to the ears of Newcastle United fans, who understandably want to retain their exceptional core of players.
In contrast, it has sparked disbelief from the Arsenal faithful, who refuse to give up on the idea of signing Isak when the summer transfer window opens.
That is despite the fact that Isak is not thinking about leaving Newcastle United.
Regardless, Arsenal fans and the media are seemingly obsessed with the idea of the Sweden international leaving St James’ Park, and have reacted on X to the report that the Magpies are not going to sell any of their best players if they fail to qualify for the Champions League.
“Lol like they can do anything about it if they really want to leave,” posted this Arsenal fan.
A second Arsenal fan wrote: “Players will dictate this though. If a player wants out then you’re going to have to sell him.”
Another supporter added: “Only one club has managed to keep their best players in the Premier League and they are currently awaiting their fate from a tribunal after being caught cheating. It’s not realistic. Even Madrid sell players they don’t want to sell. Man United, Arsenal and Liverpool have 1st hand experience of players who stay too long.”
“Can’t keep an unhappy player,” added this Arsenal fan, despite there being no suggestions that Isak is unhappy on Tyneside.
A fifth Gunners fan then took aim at the Daily Mail’s Craig Hope, who broke the story, writing: “This man repeats the same stuff every time Newcastle catch an L. We get it mate you don’t want your club to sell your best players but it ain’t always up to the club sometimes.”
Finally, this Arsenal supporter posted tweet saying: “They may not want to. That doesn’t stop players wanting out.”
Again, that statement is made without any knowledge of Newcastle United’s top stars wanting out.
What Newcastle United will do this summer
Away from Tyneside, there has been a belief that at least one of Newcastle United’s best players will leave the club this summer.
It was also the belief last summer, but that did not happen.
Now it has been made clear that Newcastle United intend to retain the likes of Isak, Gordon and co, and that is irrespective of whether or not they become a Champions League club again.
The Magpies’ plan is to improve on what they have got, rather than lose a major asset and have to rebuild.
Newcastle’s PSR position has been improved, which should mean this is a more productive transfer window after three in which no major signings were made.
It has been claimed that Newcastle want at least three signings, with Eddie Howe eager to bring in a centre-back, winger and striker. They will play alongside the likes of Gordon and Isak, rather than in place of them.
