There were wild celebrations from Newcastle United players, staff and fans after the 8-0 win against Sheffield United on Sunday.
The emphatic win capped off a brilliant week for the Magpies. They returned to winning ways against Brentford, showed resilience to win a Champions League point away to AC Milan then produced a record-breaking display at Bramall Lane.
Newcastle were outstanding against the Blades, although their opponents were woeful. In contrast, Eddie Howe’s side were ruthless with eight different players getting on the scoresheet.
One of those was Longstaff, who has been instrumental in Newcastle’s return to form.
The 25-year-old has credited Kieran Trippier with influencing his goal against Sheffield United, and now the local lad has been involved in a hilarious moment as he and his teammates celebrate an incredible victory on the road.

Sean Longstaff meows after Newcastle hammer Sheffield United
Following the 8-0 win, Newcastle United’s official Twitter account has released a video of the players returning to the dressing room.
There are noises of approval from Dan Burn and Jason Tindall, as well as a big roar of ‘vamos’ from Bruno Guimaraes.
On top of that, there is a scream from Anthony Gordon which is followed by a little dance, as he celebrates his man of the match performance.
But the strangest moment comes when Longstaff passes the camera. Rather than cheer or say ‘come on’, he does his best cat impression and lets out a hilarious ‘meow’.

It is also done by a couple of other Toon players, so it must be some kind of inside dressing room joke between Longstaff and his teammates. Either way, it is both strange and hilarious.
Regardless, the Toon players were clearly feline good after an emphatic win away from home, with another three points lifting the Magpies up to eighth in the Premier League table.
