The wait is over! Newcastle United have won the Carabao Cup and Tino Livramento was one of several standout performers.
After decades of heartbreak at Wembley, Newcastle United put on a masterclass in London to beat Liverpool 2-1 in the 2025 Carabao Cup final.
It was local hero Dan Burn who broke the deadlock, scoring Newcastle’s first goal at Wembley since 2000.
The timing of the goal was brilliant, coming just moments before referee John Brooks blew for half-time. Eddie Howe kept Newcastle focused, and Alexander Isak doubled the lead just minutes into the second half.
Up against a Liverpool side who have dominated the Premier League this season, Newcastle headed to Wembley as underdogs.
But Newcastle fans in London produced an electric atmosphere and roared the team to silverware.

Newcastle United fans react to Tino Livramento performance
An injury to Lewis Hall in the build-up to the final left Howe with a major selection headache.
Tino Livramento was predicted to start, and he did line up on the left despite being naturally suited to the right.
Not only would the 22-year-old be playing out of position at Wembley, but he’d be up against Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah – the Premier League’s top scorer this season.
However, Newcastle fans on social media could not believe how well Tino Livramento handled the Egyptian winger.
“Salah is comfortably enjoying the warmth of Livramento pockets just waiting for a penalty,” one fan posted on X.
A second fan wrote: “Livramento has Salah in HELL.”
One fan posted: “Livramento has been SUPERB today. What a performance,” while another wrote: “Livramento has been outstanding. Excellent footballer.”
Finally, one fan suggested Livramento is now among the best in the Premier League. “Livramento is so underrated man. Quietly a top 5 fullback in the whole league this season.”
