Newcastle United are heading back to Wembley this week to take on Liverpool in the Carabao Cup final.
Fans will be heading to London in their droves this weekend as they hope to see the 70-year wait for a trophy finally come to an end in the Carabao Cup final.
Liverpool stand between Newcastle United and making history, as the Magpies aim to finally get back to winning ways at Wembley.
It’s not been an ideal few weeks of preparation for Eddie Howe as performance levels have dipped and Anthony Gordon, Lewis Hall and Sven Botman will all miss the match.
However, the Premier League leaders suffered their own slice of bad luck on Tuesday when they were knocked out of the Champions League by PSG.
Liverpool played a full 120 minutes as the game went to penalties, with the Reds playing three games in the time Newcastle have played one.
Arne Slot also lost Trent Alexander-Arnold – who will miss the final – to injury, while Ibrahima Konate was forced off the field as well.
The final now feels a bit more of an even playing field ahead of Sunday, and Bruno Guimaraes already had faith Newcastle could win.
Here is everything every Toon fan needs to know ahead of making the trip to Wembley.

An estimated 50,000 fans congregated there ahead of the final defeat to Manchester United two years ago to create joyous scenes but, sadly, it won’t be possible this time around.

What Newcastle fans are getting at Wembley

Every Newcastle fan in attendance for Newcastle’s last final in 2023 was given a flag to help create a stunning visual as the players entered the field and it could be even better this time.
That’s because, according to the Daily Mail, the club’s shirt sponsor Sela are placing a scarf on every Toon fan’s seat at Wembley. Apparently, Sela have another surprise lined up too but it’s not yet been revealed.
