Newcastle target Conor Gallagher is set to move to Crystal Palace on loan.
TeamTalk and The Athletic have both reported that the Chelsea midfielder will move across London ahead of the new season.
It was reported earlier this month that Newcastle had held talks with the Englishman.
And at that time, Steve Bruce was apparently confident that he would get his man to bolster the midfield.

Newcastle are not the only club Gallagher has reportedly snubbed to join Palace.
Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds were also apparently in the hunt as they seek to replace Pablo Hernandez.
Gallagher has apparently been a long-term target for Palace and he will learn under their new manager Patrick Vieira.
Vieira was linked with Newcastle back in June 2019 and his pull has attracted Gallagher, as well as Michael Olise, Marc Guehi and Joachim Andersen already this summer.

Missing out on Gallagher ramps up the pressure on Newcastle to re-sign Joe Willock to bolster Bruce’s midfield.
They are now the only Premier League side yet to make a first-team signing, which has understandably brought ire from some fans online.
