Newcastle United are in pursuit of a new striker this summer and there have now been updates on Benjamin Sesko, Yoane Wissa and – rather surprisingly – Jorgen Strand Larsen.
Eddie Howe has always wanted to add another striker to the Newcastle United squad, even before the Alexander Isak saga took an unwelcome turn earlier this week.
Isak wants to leave Newcastle, placing a greater emphasis on signing forwards this summer.
Newcastle are keen on Sesko, with the RB Leipzig forward having been linked with the club for a few years now.
Indeed, Newcastle are also in talks to sign Wissa, who scored 19 Premier League goals last season.
Now, fresh updates have emerged on both, as well as Wolves forward Strand Larsen.

Newcastle United in concrete talks to sign Benjamin Sesko
According to German journalist Florian Plettenberg, Newcastle are now in “concrete talks” to sign Sesko.
The 22-year-old Slovenia international scored 21 goals in 45 games for RB Leipzig last season and is seen as a potential replacement for Isak.
The German club have been told that Newcastle are in talks with the player’s camp, though there is still no agreement.
As it stands, Leipzig have not received any offer for the player.
Sesko has been linked with Newcastle for years, so can hardly be viewed as a knee-jerk signing in reaction to Isak potentially leaving the club this summer.
Newcastle United linked with Jorgen Strand Larsen
Newcastle have been touted as a potential landing spot for all manner of forwards this summer, though Wolves forward Strand Larsen is a new name.
The Norway international only joined the Molineux side on a permanent basis from Celta Vigo earlier this summer, having spent a season on loan from the Spanish club.

Strand Larsen scored 14 goals in 35 Premier League games last season and is able to operate as a right-winger as well as a striker.
According to the Express and Star, Newcastle admire the 25-year-old and are weighing up a potential move.
No official contact has yet been made, however.
Yoane Wissa talks set to resume for Newcastle United
Wissa is Newcastle’s leading attacking target this summer, and was reported to be such even before the bombshell that Isak wants to leave emerged.
Brentford are under no pressure to sell the DR Congo international, though may consider it.
He’ll turn 29 less than a month into the season and only has a maximum of two years on his contract remaining, so cashing in may make financial sense.
According to Sami Mokbel of BBC Sport, there has been a slight delay in the talks between the two clubs due to a private matter on the Brentford end.
They, however, are set to resume shortly.
