This summer’s transfer window has turned into a nightmare for Newcastle United and Alexander Isak is looking to leave.
Isak has told Newcastle he wants to leave this summer, having grown frustrated about a lack of progress off the pitch.
Liverpool are set to bid for Isak, although there is seemingly no guarantee that will lead to him departing.
Newcastle have always insisted that Isak isn’t for sale but there’s only one way to test that. They need to make a bid to really gauge how the Newcastle United owners are feeling.
Sadly for the supporters, that appears to be coming closer. With that in mind, here’s a look at the latest Newcastle United transfer news and rumours.

Alexander Isak agrees five-year Liverpool contract
According to Sky Sports Switzerland, Isak has agreed terms on a five-year contract at Anfield.
Now, the Merseyside club are planning to make their first offer for the forward. The report claims that they hope they can sign him for £120million with various add-ons on top.
Isak wanted £300k-per-week and it’s said his demands are not a problem for Liverpool, who also beat Newcastle to the signing of Hugo Ekitike this summer.
It would be fair to say it’s not going well for Newcastle…

Aaron Ramsdale to Newcastle United latest
Aaron Ramsdale is the latest name being linked with the club.
Ramsdale is open to joining Newcastle as Eddie Howe looks for a new goalkeeper after missing out on James Trafford to Manchester City.
Still, according to The Chronicle, an official bid is yet to be made for the England international.
Ramsdale worked with the Newcastle United manager at Bournemouth, but it remains to be seen if Southampton can be negotiated with.
Reports claim they would prefer a permanent sale this summer, or a loan deal with a sizeable obligation to buy.
Newcastle United confirm two signings
In sharp contrast to the senior men’s team, Newcastle have actually been quite busy when it comes to shopping in the youth market.
Both Antonio Cordero and Park Seung-soo have joined the club this summer and the recruitment drive at development level continued on Monday.
The club confirmed that teenagers Oliver Goodbrand and Alfie Hutchison have joined the Newcastle United academy from Rangers.
Goodbrand is a 16-year-old defender, while Hutchison is the same age and operates as a forward.
