Manchester City are reportedly interested in signing Newcastle United defender Tino Livramento this summer in a bid to replace Kyle Walker.
After a sensational season, it comes as no surprise that the England international is on Pep Guardiola’s radar.
Tino Livramento started the season as a right-back, but was shifted to left-back in March after Lewis Hall suffered a season-ending injury. Some fans were worried that Newcastle United would regress with Livramento out of position, but that was far from the outcome.
Livramento was sensational at left-back, playing a major part in Newcastle’s historic Carabao Cup win against Liverpool and helping the Magpies return to the Champions League despite losing to Everton on the final day of the season.
Newcastle fans believe Livramento is not for sale this summer, and now a new report has shared what club officials told Man City after they held tentative talks for him.

Newcastle United tell Manchester City that Tino Livramento is not for sale
Sporting director Paul Mitchell believes Newcastle overpaid for Livramento, but the 22-year-old has repaid his transfer fee thanks to his brilliant performances over the last two seasons.
Man City are seemingly continuing their summer recruitment drive, having signed the likes of Rayan Ait-Nouri and former Newcastle target Rayan Cherki. Guardiola was seemingly keen on Livramento being the next addition to the club.
However, it looks like Livramento will almost certainly stay on Tyneside for another season after tentative talks between the two clubs.
According to inews, Man City were met with a resounding ‘not-for-sale’ from Newcastle after they made an effort to prise him away from the Magpies.
It has previously been reported that Newcastle are very reluctant to sell Livramento, and would even consider selling prized winger Anthony Gordon before letting the right-back go.

Tino Livramento transfer stance reflects PIF’s commitment to Newcastle United
After the final whistle on the last game of the season, Newcastle players jumped for joy on the pitch, knowing that they had qualified for the Champions League once again.
Almost immediately after that, Bruno Guimaraes told Newcastle they need more players to be competitive in the Champions League next season. Howe also confirmed that he was having a transfer meeting with PIF to establish what they wanted to do for the summer.
It is clear that Newcastle are not looking to be a selling club this summer and will work to improve their squad as much as they can ahead of a huge season.
Last summer saw Newcastle forced to sell Elliot Anderson and Yankuba Minteh, two players who were set for big futures on Tyneside but have since flourished elsewhere – nothing like that will happen this year.
Work is being done to bring new players to the club this summer, with negotiations for James Trafford and Anthony Elanga already started. It will be a huge summer for the Magpies, but fans must be patient as the players will come.
