Newcastle United received a loan offer for Lloyd Kelly from Juventus which was turned down.
Although Newcastle United are looking to sell players in January, Lloyd Kelly is not considered someone they are eager to let go easily.
Juve’s approach was the second of two for the 26-year-old. Turkish Super Lig side Fenerbahce made an offer of around £6m for Kelly which was quickly turned down by Newcastle.
Eddie Howe went public with his take on the Kelly transfer sage. The Toon boss stated that Kelly ‘has not spoken to him about leaving.‘
It was reported on Tuesday that Juve are preparing a fresh approach for Kelly. However, it is believed to be significantly less than the £25m Newcastle are asking for Kelly.
Elsewhere, the Magpies are preparing for life without Miguel Almiron who is set to leave the club in the coming days. The 30-year-old had been tipped to leave Newcastle in the summer but a move never materialised.
Now, a new transfer report has suggested that as well as Kelly, Juventus are going to make a ludicrous offer to Newcastle for another player they admire.

Juventus to offer Douglas Luiz to Newcastle for Sandro Tonali
Sandro Tonali has been playing some truly beautiful football in a deeper midfield role this season. The 24-year-old returned from a 10-month suspension in August, but you would not be laughed at to think he was never gone.
The Italian has hit the ground running and is a huge part of why the Magpies are now in the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup.
According to Calciomercato, Juventus are planning to sell former Aston Villa midfielder Douglas Luiz to Newcastle with the hope that they will receive Tonali in return.
Luiz has struggled for minutes since joining from Villa in the summer. The Brazilian has only played 474 minutes across 16 appearances in all competitions for Juve this season and could be on the move after joining the Italian side for 37.7m in the summer.
On Monday, Sky Sports reported that Manchester City are eyeing a loan move for the 26-year-old, but the deal is yet to be finalised. There is still a chance this bizarre swap deal could be completed before the January transfer window shuts.
Newcastle will undoubtedly be reluctant to go forward with the deal given how much he has been valued by the club and the fans. Howe has previously referred to Tonali as ‘magnificent’ for his performances in the Premier League this season.
Sandro Tonali compared to Douglas Luiz
Both players are similar in the fact that they play as a deeper midfielder who is responsible for moving an attack forward.
Tonali has worked tremendously with Bruno Guimaraes since the tactical shift. Should he leave the club, Newcastle fans will be hopeful that Luiz can form the same partnership with his fellow countryman.
| Appearances (League) | Tackles/90 | Passes/90 | Pass Completion % | |
| Sandro Tonali | 20 | 1.2 | 35.7 | 85.4 |
| Douglas Luiz | 12 | 0.8 | 27.1 | 91.4 |
Should Luiz join, Newcastle have the potential to form a midfield that is completely occupied by Brazilians. The 26-year-old would most likely slot in between Joelinton and Guimaraes.
