The latest Newcastle United transfer rumours include updates on Bryan Mbeumo, Alexander Isak and Bruno Guimaraes.
The summer transfer window finally opens today, though only for an initial nine days, and it looks like it might be a slow start for Newcastle United.
Eddie Howe is expected to add some serious quality to his squad this summer, with Newcastle free to spend once again.
However, they have seemingly only lost out so far as Matheus Cunha is heading to Manchester United and Liam Delap has opted for Chelsea.
There are other top targets still up in the air – Bryan Mbeumo, Marc Guehi and James Trafford, for instance – but it doesn’t seem that it’ll quite be the fast start to the summer Newcastle were hoping for.
Here are some of the latest Newcastle transfer stories.

Fabrizio Romano shares Bryan Mbeumo transfer update

Bryan Mbeumo appears to be Newcastle’s top target after his 20-goal return for Brentford this past season and their status as a Champions League club must be appealing.
However, they are far from the only interested party as Manchester United are also targeting Mbeumo despite closing in on Cunha as well.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano believes the Mbeumo saga is far from over.
Speaking in his Give Me Sport column, Romano said: “Manchester United and Newcastle United both like him but, from what I heard, it’s still an open story.”
Brentford are expected to want £54m for Mbeumo.
Fabrizio Romano comments on Alexander Isak’s Newcastle United future

As well as strengthening their squad, Newcastle will have to keep hold of their best players, with Alexander Isak at the top of that list.
The star striker is going to generate a lot of interest after scoring 27 goals last term and Newcastle must do all they can to keep him.
Arsenal were heavily linked with Isak in January and were expected to make a move this summer but Romano claims they are targeting Benjamin Sesko instead.
If that’s the case, then Newcastle will be delighted.
Bruno Guimaraes suggests he’s happy at Newcastle United

In more good news for Newcastle, it appears that captain fantastic Bruno Guimaraes has once again hinted he is happy to stay at St. James’ Park.
Posting on Instagram, Guimaraes mentioned ‘next season’, which certainly suggests he will be sticking around.
He wrote: “Well, I think this season was exactly everything I imagined before it started. I don’t think even the best screenwriter could have written a story as beautiful as ours.
“I’m very grateful to be part of this team. Thank you for all the support throughout the season, NUFC fans. 24/25 was magical, and we want more and more to make history for this club! Thank you for everything, and we’re counting on you for next season.”
