Newcastle United striker Will Osula is attracting interest from Aston Villa on transfer deadline day.
Away from Alexander Isak’s move to Liverpool, another Newcastle United attacker is being linked with a move away on the final day of the transfer window.
It has been reported that Aston Villa want Will Osula, as they aim to boost their options in attack following a worryingly poor start to the season.
Villa’s interest comes just days after Osula started in the Premier League for the first time since joining Newcastle United. Osula struggled against Leeds, as the Magpies played out a 0-0 draw at Elland Road.
48 hours later, Osula could be on his way out.

Newcastle United ‘open’ to Will Osula leaving on deadline day
With Villa interested in the Denmark Under-21 international, Newcastle United could have a big decision to make on transfer deadline day.
According to Shields Gazette journalist Dominic Scurr, the Magpies are ‘open’ to the possibility of Osula leaving St James’ Park.
He wrote on X: “Newcastle United open to letting William Osula leave the club. 22-year-old needs regular football and likely won’t get it at NUFC if they sign another forward. One to keep an eye on. Obviously dictated by NUFC bringing a player in.”
It is unclear whether a move away for Osula would be on loan or a permanent exit.
A loan deal would be ideal, as he is a player with a lot of potential who could benefit from more first-team experience. Unfortunately, he is unlikely to get that at Newcastle this season.
Yoane Wissa deal could open the door for Will Osula to leave Newcastle United
Osula’s Newcastle United future could be influenced by an incoming at St James’ Park.
Geordie Boot Boys understand that Newcastle are set to sign Yoane Wissa from Brentford, having agreed a deal worth £55million. The 28-year-old is already on Tyneside for his medical, as he finally gets set to become a Newcastle United player.
That will massively enhance Eddie Howe’s attacking options, with Newcastle buying Nick Woltemade too.
Wissa will add experience, while it will be interesting to see if his presence opens the door for Osula to leave.
