Alexander Isak is not the only attacker who could leave Newcastle United on transfer deadline day.

The biggest deal of the day is going to involve the Magpies. Isak is going to join Liverpool, with the Reds set to pay a British record fee of £125million for the 25-year-old.

Newcastle have decided to sell Isak to the Premier League champions, getting £25million less than they had initially wanted.

His looming departure leaves Eddie Howe short of striker options, as they aim to secure a replacement.

All the while, there is also the possibility that Will Osula could leave St James’ Park on transfer deadline day.

Newcastle United braced for Will Osula interest

Just days after making his first Premier League start for the club, the 22-year-old is the subject of interest from one of Newcastle United’s top flight rivals.

According to the Daily Mail, Aston Villa are showing an interest in signing Osula on the final day of the transfer window.

They claim that Villa are aiming to enhance their attacking options before 7pm, with Osula one of the options they are considering amid their poor start to the season.

Their interest comes one year after Osula joined the Magpies for £10million from Sheffield United.

Since arriving, he has started just one Premier League game. That was Saturday’s 0-0 draw with Leeds United.

Osula was poor against Leeds, once again showing his rawness and naivety at Premier League level.

The only way Newcastle United can consider letting Will Osula leave

It would come as a huge surprise if Osula followed Isak out of St James’ Park on deadline day.

It would go down as a huge risk given the Magpies’ lack of attacking options, despite Osula not quite being at the level required.

He does need more senior minutes under his belt, and a loan deal is something that Newcastle should be considering under normal circumstances.

However, the only way Newcastle can agree to let Osula leave on deadline day is if another striker arrives.

Newcastle are pushing to bring someone in, but it remains to be seen who, if anyone, will arrive at St James’ Park.

Given the severity of the situation, letting Osula leave too feels unimaginable.
