Newcastle United fans eagerly await the upcoming transfer window with several arrivals being rumoured.
Summer transfer business has already commenced for the academy rather than the first team. The Magpies welcomed several young players through the door in January and will soon be welcoming young stars from all over Europe in the next few months.
Antonio Cordero is close to joining Newcastle from Malaga following positive discussions with the club and a recent trip to Tyneside with his family. Elsewhere, Vakhtang Salia will join Newcastle in August from Dinamo Tbilisi. The striker has also visited the training ground and met club staff including Newcastle boss Eddie Howe.
Newcastle United have renewed hope that they will be able to spend in the summer following three transfer windows with little activity – Paul Mitchell will now surely be chomping at the bit to work on new deals.
Now, Mitchell has learned exactly how much it will cost to sign a fantastic Serie A star who has interest from several other Premier League clubs.

Newcastle learn Dusan Vlahovic’s asking price
Newcastle have been linked with a move for Juventus star Dusan Vlahovic this summer.
Despite featuring in most of their games this season, the Serbian has been tipped with a move away from the Italian giants – with head coach Thiago Motta seemingly willing to let him leave.
Vlahovic has still been brilliant this season, despite rumours about his future circling. The 25-year-old has scored 14 goals in 32 appearances across all competitions, including four goals in the Champions League. The striker recently had a moment to forget after missing a penalty that sent Juventus out of the Coppa Italia against Empoli. Vlahovic was devastated after realising he missed the spot-kick and understandably so.

According to TeamTalk, a bid of around £50m will be enough for Juventus to accept. There were reports that Vlahovic would cost £21m in the summer but Juventus have quickly realised the quality of what they are losing – hence the new asking price.
The report also states that Vlahovic is on Arsenal’s shortlist for the summer and is ‘one of Mikel Arteta’s favourites’ alongside Benjamin Sesko, who has previously been linked with a move to Newcastle.
Aston Villa and Borussia Dortmund are also reportedly interested.
Newcastle have a long-term interest in Dusan Vlahovic
It comes as no surprise that Newcastle are being linked to Vlahovic given how highly club staff have rated him in the past. Newcastle wanted Vlahovic in 2021 while he still played for Fiorentina but opted to join the Old Lady in January 2022.
His Juventus career has been full of highs and lows, winning the Coppa Italia in the 2023/24 season but enduring difficult spells with injury.
Vlahovic could be a possible replacement for Alexander Isak who has garnered interest from several clubs thanks to his remarkable form this season. It would take a gargantuan offer to let Isak leave, one that most clubs simply can’t afford.
Both players are the same age and although it won’t be a like-for-like replacement, Newcastle would still be signing a top-class player in Vlahovic.
