It could be yet be a huge summer for Newcastle United.

Indeed, after a period in which Newcastle United have struggled to sign players, all of that could change come the end of the season.

While Eddie Howe’s transfer budget will surely be increased if the team qualify for the Champions League, there are at least reports suggesting Newcastle believe they are in a position to spend this summer.

It’ll be fascinating to see who comes into St James’ Park. While the Newcastle United manager has done a brilliant job in getting his squad to go again this season, it’s clear there is a need for reinforcement.

What’s equally as important, however, is Newcastle keeping their key players. With that in mind, supporters will love the latest internal message from chairman Yasir Al-Rumayyan regarding Alexander Isak.

Yasir Al-Rumayyan’s statement of intent over Alexander Isak

Isak is the Newcastle chairman’s favourite player and it’s easy to see why.

The Sweden star is a club legend after scoring the winning the goal in the Carabao Cup final last month and his current record for Newcastle stands at 61 goals in 106 games.

As such, Isak has described as “world class”, leading to a number of links with other clubs.

However, according to The Daily Telegraph, Al-Rumayyan has told Newcastle’s executive figures not to entertain any offers for the 25-year-old this summer.

In fact, he’s understood to want to keep the striker at all costs – regardless of whether or not Isak signs a new contract.

How much is Newcastle United star Alexander Isak worth?

Liverpool are interested in Isak but it seems they, along with others, will be priced out of a move.

Newcastle would demand at least £150million for Isak, who still has three years to run on his contract at the club.

There is absolutely no suggestion the club would accept a huge offer for the former Real Sociedad striker even if one came in.

Newcastle paid £63million for Isak in 2022 and his market value has sky-rocketed since.

One of the best forwards in the world, all the signs seem to suggest he’ll be staying on Tyneside for the foreseeable future.
