Newcastle United will hopefully make some exciting signings this summer.
While there is plenty to shout about at Newcastle United right now, big-name incomings has not been one of them for a while.
Indeed, the club haven’t signed anyone who instantly improves the first-team since the summer of 2023, having had to balance the books to comply with the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainabilty Rules.
All of that could change at the end of the season, however.
Indeed, Newcastle sources believe they can spend this summer, having sold players of late while keeping their powder dry.
One of the names frequently linked with a move to St James’ Park is Southampton’s rising star Tyler Dibling.
Newcastle are expected to bid for Dibling, although the competition to sign him looks fierce.
Manchester United are keen on Dibling, who has now spoken about just how much he loves life down on the south coast.

Tyler Dibling breaks silence on Southampton future
Dibling was speaking to the Daily Echo after the Saints drew with West Ham on Saturday, a result that took them level on points with Derby’s record-low points total of 11 with five games remaining.
The 19-year-old has been a rare standout for the club during an otherwise miserable campaign, scoring four goals while registering three assists in 34 appearances across all competitions.
Despite so much talk about his future, the forward has confirmed he loves Southampton and remains committed to the cause.
“At the end of the day, I love Southampton,” he said.
“I have been here since I was eight. It is such a great club and I am working to do big things with them.”
Tyler Dibling’s potential is exciting
Dibling has been tipped for a big future in football, so it’s natural Newcastle would be interested in a move.
The club have enjoyed real success by signing the likes of Lewis Hall and Tino Livramento, turning them into leading Premier League players.
They were both of a similar profile as Dibling prior to their arrival, so there is a precedent at Newcastle for this kind of signing.
Newcastle have wanted Dibling for years. He might enjoy life at Southampton for now but they’ll no doubt hope he can be swayed come the summer.
