Lloyd Kelly’s Newcastle United future remains up in the air during the January transfer window.
The 26-year-old defender has been attracting transfer interest, while Geordie Boot Boys have been told that Lloyd Kelly is open to leaving Newcastle United.
That is due to a lack of gametime, with Lloyd Kelly making just 13 appearances for the Magpies since arriving on a free transfer.
There has been a sudden wave of interest from overseas, with Fenerbahce and Juventus making moves to land the former Bournemouth centre-back.
However, one club may no longer be in the race.

Fenerbahce secure alternative deal after Lloyd Kelly approach
Fenerbahce were the first club to make a move. It was reported in Turkey that Fenerbahce had bid for Kelly, with Jose Mourinho aiming to strike a deal.
But Newcastle rejected Fenerbahce’s Kelly offer, with Eddie Howe keen to keep him at St James’ Park.
Whether he gets his wish remains to be seen, but it looks like the Istanbul giants are taking their business elsewhere.
Fenerbahce have announced that they have agreed a deal in principle with Aston Villa to sign Diego Carlos. According to the Athletic, the 31-year-old will cost them £8.5million.
That is a lot less than what Kelly would cost. It has been claimed that Newcastle want more than £20million for Kelly, who only joined the Magpies at the start of the season.
Boost for Eddie Howe and Newcastle
Geordie Boot Boys were recently told that Diego Carlos was Fenerbahce’s priority, and they now look set to get their man.
That could help Eddie Howe, with one less club in the race to sign his player.
Kelly’s future may now totally hinge on what Juventus can do. They will need to make an offer that is financially appealing to Newcastle United, at a time when the Magpies could benefit from the PSR boost.
But if a deal is not going to open the door for reinforcements to arrive, there is surely no way that Howe will sanction Kelly’s exit.
In truth, it feels likely that Kelly will remain at St James’ Park beyond the January transfer window.
