Liverpool have even bigger ambitions after signing Alexander Isak from Newcastle United.
They broke the British transfer record on deadline day, with Liverpool buying Isak for £125million.
The Reds eventually got their man, with Isak issuing a goodbye message to Newcastle United on Tuesday. Unsurprisingly, the Newcastle fans were not interested in Isak’s social media post.
As for the 25-year-old, he is getting set to link up with a star-studded Liverpool side that won the Premier League title last season. He is suddenly teammates with Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk and Florian Wirtz, and there are plans for more big signings at Anfield.

Liverpool could turn to Michael Olise after signing Alexander Isak
Given that he is 33-years-old, Liverpool will soon need to replace Salah.
That is something they are well aware of, and a new report has detailed who they could bring in to fill the boots of one of the Premier League’s greatest ever players.
According to the Daily Mail’s Liverpool reporter Lewis Steele, Bayern Munich attacker Michael Olise is one of the leading candidates to come in as Salah’s replacement.
“As for Michael Olise, I certainly cannot rule that one out,” he wrote.
“They want a long-term Mohamed Salah replacement in the next summer or two and the early noises are that Bayern Munich’s former Crystal Palace star Olise could be right at the top of their shopping list.
“We can’t say too much more than that yet but could be one to watch…”
Why Newcastle United did not sign Michael Olise in 2024
Interestingly, Newcastle tried to sign Olise during the summer of 2024.
The Magpies were in the market for a right winger, with Eddie Howe seeing Olise as an ideal signing to join Isak and Anthony Gordon in attack.
They did make a move to sign the Frenchman, but Crystal Palace ultimately sold him to Bayern Munich.
In truth, Newcastle did not really have a chance. Olise wanted Champions League football, which Eddie Howe could not offer after finishing seventh in the Premier League.
Fast forward 12 months and Newcastle are back in the Champions League, with Anthony Elanga filling their void on the right wing.
However, he is not joining Isak and Gordon in attack. Instead, it will be Yoane Wissa or Nick Woltemade and Gordon.
