Alexander Isak has broken his silence after a British record move from Newcastle United to Liverpool was confirmed.
With the dust settling, the Sweden international has finally spoken now he has got the move he has pushed so hard for.
Alexander Isak refused to play for Newcastle United in an attempt to force his way to Liverpool before the transfer window closed.
Isak finally got that move late into deadline day, ending his three-year spell on Tyneside just like that. For a while, Eddie Howe hoped that Isak would come back and play for Newcastle this season, but he had already made up his mind that a move away was best for him.
Now, Isak has posted an emotional statement to the fans, not long after his agent made a subtle dig towards Newcastle. With his farewell message there for all to see, Newcastle fans have shared their thoughts on social media.

Newcastle gave Isak a minuscule farewell on social media, showing exactly how they feel about how the transfer saga has played out.
In the meantime, Isak has tried to do some damage limitation by posting a message on his social media, thanking the club and fans for their support.
Unfortunately for Isak, many Newcastle fans believe the damage has already been done.
“Not interested in anything he has to say. Surely that will be the same for most if not all #NUFC fans,” said one fan on X, while another added: “Actions speak louder than words. He refused to play or train for us. Nothing changes that.”
This fan suggests the message is not Isak’s going, they said: “Too little too late, clearly he has been made to write that otherwise he would have come out way before now and spoken to fans properly about the whole situation.”
“When his agent has been disrespecting us the same day.” said this unconvinced Newcastle fan.
Another fan added: “Good it’s been written but a bit too late & most likely not by him.”
Finally, this Newcastle fan said: “The behaviour he showed us, I do not think he is forever grateful. We will not forgive.”

Newcastle United fans will never forgive Alexander Isak
No matter what he put out, even if there was an apology for his conduct in recent weeks, it was highly unlikely that he was going to regain the trust of the Newcastle fans.
However, his statement should give fans the feeling that the matter is now closed and that the focus should turn to supporting the players on the pitch.
It has been a tough few months for the club, whether it was suffering rejection from top targets or dealing with an AWOL player, Newcastle have been through it all.
At the end of the day, some fans will never forgive Isak for the strain he has put on the club during this transfer fiasco. It is shocking to think fans considered Isak a Newcastle legend as recently as July, but that has now all been thrown away.
He will be right up there with Michael Owen for some fans, but it is now best for them to move on and give the players who are committed to the club everything they have got in the stands for the season.
